This is a group for beginner runners who want to run in a group of runners with similar skill set. We started this group because we believe most people that are not elite runners would shy away from a running group with elite runners. We wanted to open a door for beginner runners to learn the basics of running through interval training and in turn increasing their mileage, speed and confidence to tackle a 5K, 8K 10K or more.

It's pretty simple: Our main run will be every Thursday, 6:30PM from Whole Foods in Vienna on Maple Ave. From there, run the distance and pace of your choice along the W&OD. All paces welcome. This group consists of men and women. It has a mens group leader and a womens leader. We run rain or shine. Group is about 15 people and growing. The concept is simple, we go on a run and end at a bar.  We cater to all fitness levels, no one needs to be an ironman/woman.  We'll go on a run, around 4 miles give or take, and meet at a different bar each time.  It's a great way to get out and experience the best of DC and meet some good people.  If you enjoy being fit while having a good time and like to socialize with new people stop by for a meetup.
