The Dashing Whippets Running Team is a New York based running team that is founded on, and driven by, the diversity of our team members. With team members from all over the city, the country and the world, and with greatly different running goals, we find unity in recognizing and appreciating each others differences and our mutual enjoyment of running and participating in the New York running community and beyond. Our goal is to help each other become the best runners that we can and to fulfill …

We are serious! We are in it to win it and to get in shape in a fun and interactive way. There is no other time than right now, and I am here to help you! Welcome to Valentine's New York Running Fitness Class! I am a track and field and cross country coach as well as a trainer with a wide variety of training. Our training happens twice a month with the first class being an endurance class and second being a speed class to target the two most basic and important parts of any distance race. Wheth …
Flash Dash Series are for philanthropists and NYC runners, funners (fun runners), marathoners, walkers, singles, races, mud run & obstacle junkies. From marathoners to absolute beginners (walkers welcome), we put on amazing 5k fun runs in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Our races are once a month, just $25 and your proceeds always go to a local charity. Check out our group & our pictures. We LOVE having fun! (And hey, getting a run in while giving back to the community isn't so bad either.) :) "Flash Das …
FINALLY! The Fun Run has arrived in New York City! It's pretty straightforward - We're a group of people that like to run and have fun! Every Wednesday we meet at a different local bar throughout NYC, run, and always meet back at the bar for a guilt free beer and to hang-out. If you're in your 20-30's (or just think you can hang) with a fun and outgoing personality looking to meet new people, then come join us! Our runners are all at different paces. Everyone usually finds someone within their p …
The greatest, funnest, and best-looking group of (wannabe) runners in NYC. Well, at least 1/3 of that is true. And we can definitely guarantee fun. Come join us for a workout, a run, a bRUNch, or just come and hang out! We encourage runners of all abilities -- especially if you think you are slow -- to come join us for a fun run. We run, eat a lot of food, make friends, and never take anything too seriously. http://nyc.informalrunning.com/
We encourage people to lead runs and show off trails and other lesser known routes around NYC. Let's stop paying high prices for commercial-cookie cutter road races and lets start exploring!
New York Trail & Ultra Running was started by Michael Oliva (www.linkedin.com/in/michaeloliva1 ) who Co-Founded and organized the Holiday Marathons; a series of fun laid back running events in New York City.

Interested in starting the day with a loop around Prospect Park? There is nothing like Brooklyn's best park early in the peace and quiet of the morning and no better way to enjoy it than breezing through it on foot. Now that Spring approaches and the weather gets warmer, let's run through it and watch it bloom.
I don't know about you, but I'm in terrible shape. All those obstacle races that are so populare now (run for your lives, 5k foam fest, rugged maniac, superhero scramble, the color run, etc.) sound like a lot of fun, though. If they sound like fun to you and you'd like to run them too, why don't we a.) train together and/or b.) meet at the event? Training can be ordinary running, but we can also do things to train for the obstacles. I'm thinking rock climbing, water parks, or whatever anyone els …
The Tribeca Running Club provides a opportunity for downtown runners to train, compete, or just go on casual group runs. Downtown Manhattan doesn't have as much of a running infrastructure as other parts of the city, so this group helps local runners stay motivated and connected, while enjoying the great paths and other running-related perks our neighborhood offers.

This is a group for those interested in group runs starting in Long Island City. There are running clubs based in north Brooklyn and Astoria but none, for reasons I can't explain, in LIC. Goals of the group: change that fact; connect people seeking running partners; explore new routes. All skill levels welcome. Envisioning runs in the 4-7 mile range but the beauty of the experiment is it's entirely flexible to the wants of those who join!

This is a group for anyone interested in running for a good cause: runs and walks to benefit charity organizations and programs. If you are an outdoors person and you like to run (or walk) this is your group. Every step you make will be contributing to a good cause. Let's all get together and help our city become a better place while we have a fun time! Bring your friends, family, pets or coworkers along and be part of this healthy movement.
This is a group for Moms in the Fanwood/ Scotch Plains/ Westfield area who like to run and are looking for some running partners. All levels welcome! I plan to schedule a running meetup on Saturday mornings for a long run and potentially one early morning during the week before work.
There are no upcoming Meetups.
OK what's up with all the neurotic 9 am running groups? I use Saturday mornings to sleep in after a long week of work and other crap. Let's do a nice civilized 4 pm run in Central Park (or other locations if we want). This is the first one (because I couldn't find any other small running groups at this time, I started my own).
There are no upcoming Meetups.
I am creating this group for people who would like to start doing some group runs on the Coney Island Boardwalk and Shore Parkway along the Belt Parkway. Whether you are looking for just running with a group, training for a race of any kind, looking to do some cycling etc., we can get together and have a good time. Feel free to organize events that you think might be of interest.
There are no upcoming Meetups.
This is a group for anyone interested in running along the river below 14th St. I started this group to meet other outdoor enthusiasts who want to be outdoors in the morning instead of in a gym on a treadmill. All skill levels are welcomed but you should have some running experience.
