If you're in your 20-30s (or just think you can hang) with a fun and outgoing personality looking to meet new people, then come join us! We welcome runners at all different paces. Everyone can find someone at their pace to run with. It is …

Love to run? Â Love to explore? Â Runsploring is the ultimate combination. Â This group is aimed at staying active, having fun, being social, and exploring the hidden gems of San Francisco. Â Although we like to get a workout, Runsploring is a laid back activity and we don't take ourselves too seriously. As a Runsplorer, we pick a starting location and route. Â Then we run at a comfortable pace and stop if we come across an amazing view, landmark, Â or anything else that sparks our interest. Â The u …

It often takes courage to take the leap of faith needed to chase down your dream career, finish a marathon, etc... but we feel that if you surround yourself with other positive, like-minded people, you will like …

These mission-to-mission walks are open to all who enjoy nature, art, history. And walking. Though many of the walks are between 16-22 miles, they're set at a reasonable pace and are easy to train for. Why'd You Start the Group? Long story short: In March 2011 I walked 330 miles of the Camino de Santiago, a 1,200 year-old pilgrimage route in Spain. I lived with very little for 3 weeks. I experienced nature, art, and history. I met people from all around the world on the same simple quest - to r …

Welcome to the fun side of being into endurance sports! This meet-up group aims to bring together people who are into marathons, triathlons, biking and other endurance sports for social events like happy hours, wine events etc. I do not plan to organize actual runs or rides etc (there are plenty of other meet-ups for that). Instead, lets meet in a more social setting, talk about our races, training, share tips, have fun and make new friends!

We can meet in the evenings (7:30/8:00) at Kezar for walk/jogs and hopefully keep each other motivated enough to eventually become runners!

I was trying to find a group to run with on regular basis and this is my attempt to make one. The goal is to train for various races and find running partners. This would be especially awesome for longer runs and they fly by faster with friends. I'm hoping to get in a longer run on the weekend, a few short runs and an intermediate run during the week. Come to all or just one! Most (all?) of the runs will be in the city. Races that I'd like to run: 1. San Francisco marathon (half or full) - Jun …

This is a group started with the express purpose of trying to create a network among the many Probashi Bangalis living in the Bay Area. They all seem to congregate during a Durga Pujo celebration and mysteriously thereafter, go into hibernation for the rest of the year. At least that is the way I feel. Maybe it is a function of the fact that their numbers are so low that the probability of running into someone at random is exceedingly low. I, for one, refuse to believe that. Maybe it is my own f …
I love to code. It's something I want everyone to learn. I spend a lot of my free time teaching people I know, and I wanted to reach out to a larger audience. Coding: in this day and age it's a great skill to have. It not only adds to the ways we can solve problems, it also provides a language and context for sharing solutions to complex problems. In this meetup I'll be teaching you how to code. We'll start by learning how to find and run other people's open source code. That means we are settin …
I am a pit bull junkie who is dedicated to rescuing/training this awesome breed of dog and changing public perception of the loveable blockheads. This group is for all pit bull and pit bull mix owners (and of course anyone else who wants to come along for the ride) to get together in a safe and organized walking environment to socialize our dogs, and of course ourselves. This is a great way to make dog and human friends. These are not dog walk type meet ups. I believe that in order to best show …
