Run in your PJs, birthday suit, or latest, greatest gear. Run at night under a full moon or under the mid-day blazing sun. Run without rules or plans. Run because you want to- not because you have to. Our Meet ups feature non-competitive, set-your-own-pace trail runs through county parks, often combined with group activiti …

Ideally our hikes will be 1 1/2 - 3 hours long, including significant elevation gain. Ideally at least 1500'+, and be 5-11 miles long. We will hike to the summit, then where possible, and if you want to, run part or all the way back out. Everyone goes at their own pace, we don't wait for slower hikers* …

Members of Santa Cruz Trail Runners like to get dirty. A little bit of dust, dirt, mud, water or rain will not stop us. We run on the dirt and in the trees. We run over rocks and through creeks. We run uphill and downhill. Why? Because we can—because it's a blast—because we like to get dirty. Trail running creates less impact on the body than running on pavement, utilizes more muscle groups so you get stronger, increases balance and agility, is mentally stimulating and is a great way to connect …
