I really need to get fit! But I cannot find the motivation to do it as I need someone to spur me along so I thought I'd have a go at starting a local jogging group for ladies who also wish to get fit and have someone to jog/run with. By all means I am no athlete so this will be a beginners group but hopefully it will progress to a more regular thing and we will get fitter, thinner and faster together all whilst enjoying each others company and supporting one another. What to jog on with me?

Age is a number not a limitation. I started this group because I wanted to share my recent experiences and actively engage people who are interested in walking and running and interested in improving their health and wellness. I call it a 80:20 group as whilst the emphasis is upon doing some exercise health and nutrition is essentially 20% exercise and 80% nutrition with a good smattering of a positive attitude. I believe in surrounding yourself with positive thinkers and the philosophy that it …

I have began this group because after living in america for 7 years - east bay san francisco area to be exact- i have grown into a person who cares for people, my world, being loving, sharing and i am so surprised that in this area there seems to be no groups of this nature. My vision for this group is simply to unite people of a similar nature, that being people who are spiritual, thoughtful, creative, loving and who want to grow personally and have deeply meaningful connection with people in t …
Hello from Richard... Do you agree to do things, then regret it later? Can you ask for things, without feeling guilty? Can you speak up in a group? When you are embarrassed, or angry, can you still function effectively? Do you promote yourself with impact, or with an apology? Can you be playful and proud at the same time? Courses I started this group in April 2012 in order to publicise the various courses that I run in Leeds. Some of these courses are free, some are at a very nominal price ( …

To many Pagans, their beliefs are more than a religion; they are a way of life, seeking to live in sympathy with nature in today's modern world. Many pagans see themselves as very much a part of nature, not above it. Pagans also advocate self-responsibility; we are responsible for our actions. Due to persecution and misrepresentation it is necessary to define what Pagans are not as well as what they are. Pagans are not sexual deviants, do not worship the devil (are not Satanists), are not evil …
Hi, I decided to take over this group as I am looking to take control of my social life, and meet new people. I'm sure that I am not the only one who finds it difficult to arrange things with friends around work and family life so together with this group of proactive, social individuals I'm hoping to get out and have fun. My aim is to try and organise at least one meet up a week, any ideas you have please make a suggestion. It isn't about numbers so if at least three people want to attend an ev …

Welcome! (Updated Tuesday 14th May 2013) Hello-ha! Greetings fellow East Lancashirians! Well, it is now a year since I thought, is anyone else thinking what I am thinking, that there seems little of any real substance to do around Blackburn-Darwen, unless your sole interest in clubbing? A year since I thought, does anyone else want to meet up for interesting conversations, whilst doing meaningful activities, and whilst building supportive local networks? So I (Jenny) have set up an informal soc …

I am a relatively new craft lover, who is interested in meeting up with other like-minded people in the local area to have a drink / cake / sew / knit / crochet with. I am keen to organise a weekly evening meet-up, to allow people time and space to get projects going, share knowledge, drink wine, and pot …
