Hi everyone,
My name is Michelle and I just ran my first marathon in Jan. '09. I finished my second half-marathon at ING on March 29th. My time was 2:10:05. I can tell all of these meetup runs are really improving my time for these races. I'm just looking for people who love to run. One thing I want to mention is that my runs are about endurance and not speed. I'll be running at a fairly slow pace, about 10:00 minute miles. You are still more than welcome to join if you're slower or faster.

I run Kennesaw Mountain during the week and it's a great place to run. Almost every time I run there, I see deer. It is just gorgeous!

Note: Since the Kennesaw Mtn parking lot closes at 6pm, we are not meeting at the Visitor's Center, we are meeting at Mulkey Enterprises on Kennesaw Ave. Please be there no later than 5:30.

Group run from Mulkey Enterprises to Burnt Hickory Road. We may not make it all the way, just depends on daylight. This will be an in and out trail.

Dress in warm layers. I hope you can make it!

“Welcome to the group. If you're looking at trail / ultra racing another great group with more long distance experience to get involved in as well as this one is GUTS (http://www.getguts.org). They organize several races as well as having frequent training runs. Look forward to running with another trail racer. As weather gets better I am planning on scheduling more long distance options for the group primarily at Sope-Cochran/Kenn Mtn/Red Top Mtn.”

“I ran cross country in high school, and fell in love with distance running. I'm a current college student and would like to get back into training for longer races, from 10ks to beyond. Running with others will help keep me motivated.”
