Introduction
Hello everyone! I joined this group to learn and help others find nice trails and greenways to run/jog in the Raleigh area. There are all different types of runs and paces so come on out!
What are your running goals?

I'm shooting to do a full November and/or December 2008

About how far and how fast are you going?

My best time is 7min18sec pace for the 10k. I usually run around a 9 minute mile pace...

Where do you jog/run?

I usually run at Umstead, Lake Johnson or Shelly Lake...

  •  I just wanted to say thanks Larry. I am really looking forward to meeting you all on weekend runs. I stay in the campground normally so 730 starts are better for me so I can drive around. The only other option would be to take off at 6am from the other side. I can make it in about 50 minutes or so if I push it. Seems like you all have quite an organization here. Just a side note. There's a great 10 and 26 miler in October at Medoc Mountain State Park if anyone is interested. see you soon. jeff

  •  Gangsta running hurts and raises the risk of musculoskeletal injuries. I don't run the streets so much anymore, however I look forward to running the trails with you guys too.

  •  Thanks Larry. I had taken a few years off when I retired from the Marines in 2000 and have found new energy in trail running. I am looking forward to running with you all soon. Take care and enjoy the trails. I will be at Umstead on Saturday doing our 50 k. It is more of a training run and maybe I will see some of you all there. See you soon. Jeff from GVegas. :)
